Summer Status Update

Greetings everyone! I figured it's time I did another update on what's going on at my end and what you can expect in foreseeable future.

Summer Holidays

I'm going to have a month worth of summer holidays in late July and early August, and that's when a lot of the stuff below might happen. (Not the stuff in the images, the other topics!)

MiSha Shower Photoshoot, remaining two pictures 

I still intend to finish this series, and the remaining two pictures are pretty much decided, but still at the sketch phase. Thanks to everyone who voted in the poll in my previous journal entry a while back. I hope to finish the last two pictures during the summer, with the end of my summer holidays being a sort of deadline.

The Fate of the Ballpoint Pen Doodles

Sadly, it's looking increasingly like after my summer holidays, I won't be able to do ballpoint pen doodles at work anymore. This time it's actually a simple 'yes' or 'no' result, and not that doodling away at work would get harder. I might be transferring to a more crowded work area, which lacks all the things I've needed for doodling so far. Privacy and flexible work pace to name the two important bits. A huge shame, but to be honest, this was supposed to happen like a year ago already. Everything since then has been extra anyways, pretty much. Here's hoping I can transfer some of the creative energy to doodling at home instead. And I still have almost two months worth doodling potential at work. Let's see if I can get a few more ballpoint works done in that time!
 

MiSha sketches as of late

Those of you following my scrapbook submissions will have noticed a bunch of monotone shaded MiSha doodles appearing in my gallery in recent days. I suddenly had the urge to doodle away at some summer-themed and/or lightly clothed art featuring MiSha, mostly in non-nude situations. Originally I was thinking that maybe I could do a bunch of these, color them in higher resolution down the road and maybe put together a small MiSha artbook or something, but to be honest, considering the pace I color artworks these days, I doubt I'd ever get something like that done in reasonable timeframe. But maybe I'll get to color one or two of those at random anyways. Still, I might submit more of these doodles. I'm having tons of fun just designing these.
 

Summer Raffle event?

I'm thinking about holding an event in near future (June/July) that will be a raffle type thing. Basically, there will be lots of prizes, with art request or two as the jackpot, originals of ballpoint pen doodles, as well as smaller prizes like prints and points as well. There will be lots of ways to enter, and you can do multiple of those for extra tickets. Perhaps a new 'task' for each day of the event, to keep people engaged. Will you be participating?

General Update

'ey up everyone. Looks like I made my previous journal entry last summer. And art since then has been a bit limited. Sorry for the lack of activity. I'm hoping to try and do a little bit better for the time being at least.

The reason for my lack of activity has been primarily work, which has been super busy and stressful since late last summer when my job changed to doing four shifts. I've also been sick quite a few times since then. Some cases probably caused by working in shifts, including nights, but some haven't been related. Just bad luck. Anyways, it's been a bit stressful. There are a few things that could improve towards summer, so I'm slightly optimistic about things getting at least a tiny bit better.

Ballpoint pen Doodles

Anyways, despite the busy work, I recently tried if it could be possible to do some ballpoint pen doodles again during work (see my Scraps if you haven't seen my ballpoint doodles yet. Remember, you can put my scraps under watch too, click 'deviants online' at the top right, then 'manage', and enable 'scraps' for me). I actually managed to doodle something, though not nearly in the quality I had time for before, but perhaps I'll be able to post some ballpoint doodles again soon.

Also, I'm still selling the better quality original physical doodles that I've done in recent years. Just go to my user page and check the left side under 'newest deviations'. I can probably throw in some additional discounts, so please don't let the prices be an obstacle. Just contact me and maybe we can find a price that works for you.

MiSha Shower Photoshoot, remaining two pictures (POLL, kinda)

So, in my previous two journal entries I polled you guys about which of the several sketches I did last summer of potential candidates to be included in MiSha's shower photoshoot series I should finish for the series. To be a complete photoshoot, there needs to be six pictures total, which means two more pics. I already used two of the candidates for the latest additions, and I plan on using two more, rather than come up with new ones. Problem is, despite the original poll results, I'm still having a hard time deciding on which two candidates to use. So, I'm doing another poll, kinda, to maybe see which ones you guys like most.

After removing the two candidates I already used, and the two that got least votes in previous poll, here are the remaining six candidates (MATURE CONTENT): sta.sh/21j93bcveei7

Again, don't let the amount of detail and the state of the bikini parts in the candidate pics to be a deciding factor in your choices. Some are rougher doodles than others. And even if MiSha still has the bikini top on in some of these candidate pics, it would be removed for the final work. What I'd like you guys to do is choose two candidates, one to be used as the 5th picture, and one to be used as the final 6th, and post a comment listing them, preferably also mentioning why you chose them. HOWEVER! There are a few rules that should to be followed:

* The 5th picture can still have the bikini bottom around in some capacity, but the 6th picture must be full nude.
* The 6th picture should be one that has a feel of conclusion, so ideally candidates 7 or 8 (drying with a towel), but I'm open to other options too, if you can convince me.
* One of the two choices should be a picture with boobs in focus, and one should have butt in focus. I want both to have equal exposure, and the finished photoshoot pics so far are even split. This isn't a MUST though, so don't let it restrict your choices too much.
* Feel free to suggest changes to the candidates that would help your choices work.

Personally, I like the following combinations the most:
10 and 8
3 and 7

I quite like candidate 1, but it's a bit too similar to the 4th picture in the photoshoot pose-wise, which in turn is a bit similar to the 1st. Too much 'bending over'/'butt raised', I guess. I'm not a fan of candidate 9, as that one would require quite a bit of editing. The legs in particular need tweaking. I'm ready to use either candidate though, if it's an overwhelming favorite for you guys.

Need your help deciding! MiSha photoshoot pics!

Hello everyone. As you might've noticed, I recently submitted two new finished MiSha photoshoot pics. A proper MiSha photoshoot is six pics long, so still four to go. Throughout this week, I've been doodling away at potential new photoshoot pics. Now I need your help deciding which ones are going to end officially in the photoshoot series, eventually polished and fully colored.

If you don't want any spoilers in advance, but prefer to wait for the finished products, ignore the rest below. Otherwise, PLEASE leave your votes on your favorites. Instructions below.

HOW TO VOTE (PLEASE READ!)

• There are ten doodles. I need you to pick maximum of FOUR of your favorites. Simply list the candidate numbers.
• At least one vote must be on a pic that has boobs in focus (candidates 1, 3, 4, 8, 9).
• At least one vote must be on a pic that has butt in focus (candidates 2, 5, 6, 7, 10).
• These are VERY ROUGH DRAFTS and vary in quality. Some doodles are purely done on computer, some are edited ballpoint pen doodles, and there's even one that I tried to do on my tablet, without a proper stylus pen.
• DON'T vote on what looks most refined in its current state. Vote on the ones you think WOULD look best if all issues with proportions and perspective were to be fixed, and missing details, like background and shower water, added.
• Also note that depending on what order the pics end up in the photoshoot, there may be more or less bikini parts worn in the final edition than what is present in these drafts. I doodled the pics with some sort of chronological placement in mind, but it may change. The only exception is pics where MiSha is shifting bikini parts, those will stay the same, since doing things with the bikini is the purpose of those pics.

Also, feel free to comment on anything, of course. The plan is to have MiSha keep the bikini top on, but dragged under her boobs (Thoughts? Would it be better to have the bikini slightly cupping her boobs, or should the bikini top be removed completely sooner?), then start dropping the bikini bottom in pic 3, losing the bottom part by pic 4 or 5, and losing the top part, if not removed yet, by pic 5-6. Pic 6 is meant to be full nude, maybe one of the towel pics.
