Twisted Fusion Kickstarter successfully funded!
The Kickstarter campaign for Twisted Fusion that I announced recently reached the minimum goal, and is thus succesfully funded. Thanks to everyone who pledged in. This game will feature sprite artwork by yours truly, so look forward to it on Wii U near the end of this year.
There's still time to pledge in, so here's the Kickstarter link, one more time:

And now...
TWISTED TOWER
I've been delaying this for half a year or so now, because I didn't know where the project was heading. I still don't, but it'd be a waste to let it dust in the quiet corners of the internet.
Twisted Tower - Chapter 1 is a PC game project I started in late 2010. I worked on it randomly until early 2013, but for some reason lost interest and momentum to work on it further. I still want to finish it some day though, so I'm just waiting for that spark that gets me rolling on again. I released a public alpha build of the game last year at the project page over at The Daily Click, but left promotion for a later time. A much later time. Today, I guess.
Twisted Tower is a platformer game, with elements from RPG's, dungeon crawlers, roguelikes and metroidvania. The game takes place in the same universe as the iPhone game Twisted Fates that I did graphics for a while back. You control Arina, a catgirl introduced in Twisted Fates, through randomly generated levels inside a structure called Twisted Tower. Fight your way through enemies using one of eight different weapon types, cast magic spells from two different schools, level up your stats, choose class and skill masteries, break and open countless containers, collect weapons, armor and consumables as loot, and try to reach the top of the tower to find out what has caused Twisted Tower to undergo changes.
The game was intended to consist of multiple chapters (3-4), but at this time it seems just finishing chapter 1 is the only realistic goal for the time being. Twisted Tower is fully playable already however. There is little to no story and only basic content for the areas outside the tower, but the tower itself, with its 30 randomly generated floors, spanning three different area themes is almost complete. There's one boss enemy, but the chapter boss is not yet implemented. You can thus explore the tower up to floor 30, right to the door that leads to the chapter boss (but actually leads back to floor 1, for now). That's 3-5 hours of gameplay, depending on your playstyle and experience.
Twisted Tower can be played with a keyboard, or a gamepad (buttons are configured for Xbox360 layout by default, but can be customized).
Twisted Tower's soundtrack was created by Adrien "LoKi" Couturier. Everything else is made by me. The game is made with Multimedia Fusion 2.
Teaser Trailer from 2012
(Note how it states an expected release for 2012 at the end. Didn't happen.)
More videos, (Let's Plays, etc):
Review by SiberianLemming (Russian)
Gameplay by Press Key 2 Play (Portuguese) (seems to have a lot of fun playing)
Gameplay by Balaboom, PrimeCraft, Prime World (Russian)
So, the game is unfinished, currently not in development, but you can play it if you want. I'd love to see more videos of people playing, and to hear what kind of character builds people have chosen from the 6 classes, 42 skills, and 8 weapon types. What's the best weapon you've looted?

Enjoy Twisted Tower, and don't hesitate to spread the word about it, even though its future is uncertain at this point.

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to everyone! I didn't have the time to prepare a Christmas artwork this year (or much art in general), but let's see if I can publish something sometime soon. I do have a bunch of WIP stuff from the past few years that I really should finish eventually. ^^;
Summer, MiSha, Sketches and... RAFFLE?!
Summer Status Update
Greetings everyone! I figured it's time I did another update on what's going on at my end and what you can expect in foreseeable future.
Topics accompanied by relevant imagery! :D
Summer HolidaysI'm going to have a month worth of summer holidays in late July and early August, and that's when a lot of the stuff below might happen. (Not the stuff in the images, the other topics!)
MiSha Shower Photoshoot, remaining two pictures I still intend to finish this series, and the remaining two pictures are pretty much decided, but still at the sketch phase. Thanks to everyone who voted in the poll in my previous journal entry a
Update + MiSha photoshoot, last two pics (POLL)
(Sorry to bump this journal, but I'd love to get a few more votes regarding the MiSha Shower Photoshoot. More info further down!)
General Update'ey up everyone. Looks like I made my previous journal entry last summer. And art since then has been a bit limited. Sorry for the lack of activity. I'm hoping to try and do a little bit better for the time being at least.
The reason for my lack of activity has been primarily work, which has been super busy and stressful since late last summer when my job changed to doing four shifts. I've also been sick quite a few times since then. Some cases probably caused by working in shifts, including nights,

MiSha photoshoot poll results
If you don't want spoilers about upcoming MiSha photoshoot pics, don't read further! (Some random promotion at the bottom though.)
In my previous journal entry I provided links to ten doodles of potential candidates for further MiSha photoshoot pics in the latest shower photoshoot. I also asked people to vote on four of the candidates, as I had hard time choosing which to use in the end. A proper MiSha photoshoot is six pics long, so four more pics will be needed.
I'm now concluding the poll, so no more votes are necessary. Thanks to all 38 people who voted. The results are quite informative.
I'm now listing
