Ballpoint Pen Doodles

New scrapbook stuff!

It's been a while since I had time to doodle stuff during my workday. Last two days were fruitful, though all I had available was a ballpoint pen and notebook paper. That's no obstacle to an artist craving to doodle away, so I did what I could. I'm actually surprised that I didn't screw up the works more. Cheap ballpoint pens can get messy, and since there's no undo or eraser available, it's a challenge! Though in a positive way, I'd say. Much more satisfying this way. I didn't clean these up after scanning, so all the little mistakes and messes the scanner picked are there.

I'm fairly happy with both works, though neither is quite what I had originally in mind. Had to compromise a little along the way.

The first picture was supposed to be just the girl sort of floating there, but I just felt like adding something underneath her as an afterthought, which ended up being a wooden chair with couple of square cushions on it or something. That part didn't really go as planned. Other than that, it's got the happy, jumpy feel to it that I was aiming for.

The second one is a girl wearing nothing but a shirt, and I think she's not too happy to be looked at. She's trying to cover her lower front, but the shirt's just not long enough to do so on both sides. Hey, don't you worry, it's a cute butt to look at! Was planning to use a slightly different angle here, like more behind her, but I wanted the stretched arm and some of her chest to be in the view, so had to go with an angle that's a bit more from the side. Still like this one though!

Here's hoping I get more doodling opportunities at work soon!
